Elizabeth Constable

Elizabeth Constable was born 18 Apr 1893 in Glasgow, Scotland to Elizabeth Stewart

and William Constable. After the death of her parents she was sent to Canada as a

home child. She lived at Green Valley, Ontario. Her older brother William found her

March 22, 1913 at McGill Collage in Montreal. Elizabeth met Wilbert Ackerman and

they married in Stettler 07 Nov 1917. They had three children. Wilbert left the family

and Elizabeth raised the children on her own. She cleaned offices and stuggled to keep her

family together. She was small in stature but big in heart. 'Nana' lived with her daughter

Rita and her family for many years until her death in 1984.
